Is this not the cutest picture? Today was another great day. We spent time at a drive thru safari and saw lots of animals. Yes, the bear was very close. Many animals just walked in front of our car. One bear even decided to stop right in front of us for a while. We laughed a lot. Imagine 3 girls in a car looking at animals...lots of ooohs and ahhhs.
After this the girls spent a few hours in the waterpark that is attached to the hotel. What a racket that is! It's next to impossible to stay here and tell your children they can't go. Of course I was there, too, watching my kids (and everyone else's too). One little girl - maybe she was seven - even came up to me to ask me if I would watch her towel. I asked her where her mom and dad were and she told me that her Aunt was with her and that she was coming down to the park "soon". Unbelievable! Even Becky and Catherine were shocked at the number of children not being watched. I guess the lifeguards feel the same way because the writing on their t-shirts said "If your child is swimming, you should be too"
We left the park to eat dinner.. you guessed it ... ziti. This time we had carrots too :) After dinner we went back to the park. I wanted to stay for only an hour, the girls wanted to stay for two. We compromised on 1 1/2 hours.
We packed the car with most of our things, showered and are now relaxing watching a little TV. I think we have the hang of this living out of a suitcase now. We know just when to get ice for the cooler, what to bring into the hotel, what to leave in the car. Every night I go to the business center to print out the next day's directions.
Everywhere we go we bring our bag of technology. We don't want to leave that stuff in the hotel -- heard too many horror stories about that!
Tonight the girls bought some soda. We split it -- I gave a dollar and they gave the 50 cents. When we got back there was a dollar on my bed. It was Becky's. She handed it to me and said, "You have done so much already, the least I can do is buy my own soda" How awesome!
Tomorrow we are going to Devil's Tower in WY then we are off to Billings, Montana. It's about 6 hours of driving...not so bad.
We miss all of you and can't wait to tell you about tomorrow's adventures.
