Day 10

I am so glad to see that the girls still have a sense of humor after all of these days of traveling. This is in the ridiculously large gift shop by Old Faithful. We are on the top floor where there is a little ice cream shop. The day was incredible. There are so many different things to see in Yellowstone it was impossible to see everything. We spent all day there and didn't see most of the park. We had to remind ourselves that it is impossible to see everything and that we could come back some day. It was crazy to walk around a place with beautiful views of lakes, streams, mountains, trees, waterfalls and wildlife in one direction and then you can take one turn and the area becomes almost prehistoric with geysers and mud pots. So strange. So far this is the only place I feel like I want to come back to visit. Not because the other places were terrible, but because I want to be able to see more.

We are off to Carter on the Moon National Park and then to Boise, ID tomorrow. What's in Boise? Nothing I know of...just a stop over. We are going to Crater Lake, OR but I didn't want to take a 14 hr trip in one day. Actually, Becky mapped out this part of our trip. While coming home from Yellowstone, we were talking about how we didn't know where we were going tomorrow and that we would have to figure it out at the hotel. Becky used the iPad to figure out our next few stops. In fact, she figured out our next 3 days of travel. I am proud of her.
